Now that tourist attractions are begining to open, hopefully the few foreign tourists & expats that visit the Grand Palace area won’t be bothered by the scammers that plague this area. I still don’t understand why the tourist police don’t do anything. They are very easy to spot. Image

After the lockdown eased, the three most popular activities for Thais were to have their hair cut, travel and eat out, says Ipsos, a global market research firm.

"The survey suggests the travel industry should bounce back after the lockdown due to demand among those with an income of more than 50,000 baht a month," said Aitsanart Wuthithanakul, a senior client officer at Ipsos #Thailand #ThaiTravelNews #ttot Image
I hope that when the Ministry of Tourism & TAT discuss promotions & special discounts to encourage people to travel, they don’t forget the expat community. Not all of us get a high salary like the Thais in this survey, but we have to pay much more due to #2PriceThailand policy. Image

Thailand plans to boost domestic tourism in the third quarter to help support the struggling economy as the coronavirus pandemic hits global travel and domestic consumption.

♦️Thailand to drive domestic tourism bangkokpost.com/business/19240… #Thailand #ThaiTravelNews #ttot Image
📌 “The government expects to roll out a package for domestic travel from July. It may include subsidies on rooms and other benefits.”

👆Will benefits include expats?

📌 “Last year, spending by foreign tourists accounted for 11.4% of GDP, while domestic tourism made up 6%.”
🇹🇭 I really hope that they don’t forget expats when it comes to domestic tourism. Many of us do more trips around #Thailand than the average foreign tourist. But we are penalised by having to pay tourist rates at attractions. Please help us, help you. Treat us like Thai tourists.
