Re the '#ExistResistReturn' march. The PSC logo shows the map of mandatory Palestine. The 'return' bit = all refugees returning.

Please stop pretending you support a peace settlement, any kind of negotiated peace.

You want to delete a the state of Israel. It's outrageous
Israel exists. It has cities and towns, government and cultural institutions. It is not going to disappear anytime soon.If you honestly think Israel can be 'replaced' by Palestine, you have zero idea of realities on the ground. There needs to be a diplomatic, political settlement
Calling for the removal of Israel is built on the premise, that its entire population has been 'imported', that it's not at all native, and all these Jews can just 'go back to their own countries' (which no doubt many will think is just America, Europe etc.) It's not true.

China's positions on the 346 recommendations it received during last year's #ChinaUPR: 284 accepted and 62 not accepted "because they are inconsistent with China’s national conditions, contradictory with Chinese laws, politically biased or untruthful."…

THREAD: 2018 has seen a diversification of quality reporting and uptick in exposure of the mass repression of #Uighurs and other Turkic Muslim minorities in western #China, by media, academics, and civil society groups across the world.
.@RFA Uyghur Service should be commended for its long-standing and fearless reporting on the situation in #Xinjiang, way before the current human rights crisis began to unfold. See its reporting here:…, esp. the series of interviews w/ victims/families.
Despite government restrictions, major international media outlets have produced several deep-dive investigative pieces, based on satellite imagery, interviews with victims and/or their families, procurement documents on Chinese government websites, and field visits.

I don’t see #Gülen doing enough to help the #Uyghurs of #EastTurkistan. He doesn’t seem to support #EastTurkestan Independence, so I don’t see what use he is for the #UnitedStates#HumanRights agenda. I’m beginning to think it’d be best if we hand him over to @TurkishEmbassy.
… then again, I question whether #Turkey’s sincere in their efforts to help the #Uyghurs of #EastTurkistan. Recent misguided efforts by the Turks to seize control of the ET Gov’t-in-Exile make me wonder whether they have ulterior motives (like using #Uighurs to fight the Kurds).
… the fact of the matter is that #Turkey is sitting on a powder keg of an economy. Skyrocketing debt, out-of-control inflation, significant potential for #HumanRights sanctions over the treatment of journalists. And that dang S-400 system from #Russia. I worry about #Ankara.
