The absolutely inhumane and incompetent practices of @ukhomeoffice have ruined my academics and mental health. I was supposed to be in #Glasgow to attend @UofGlasgow @UofGEngineering for semester 2 but my visa was refused.
The refusal wouldn't have hurt if u had genuinely made some mistake. But i had meticulously checked every detail and made sure that I had included all the required documents.
So, I had applied for priority visa through @VFSGlobal on 16th November, 2021 spending around Rs. 1,23,000 (~1230 GBP) and completed my biometrics on 22nd Nov hoping to get a decision within 5 days. I recieved this follow up email on 24th. Note the [insert relevant mailbox]

The British High Commission in Abuja, Nigeria has re-opened its Visa Application Centres (VACs) across the country, whilst issuing updated information/advice on its visa application services.
According to the latest update, any individual whose 30-day visa to travel to the UK for work, study, or visitation had expired, can request for a replacement free of charge, albeit with revised validity dates. The free replacements will continue until the end of 2020.
According to the UK High Commission, this decision was taken in view of the disruptions to business activities and travels caused by the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. #COVID19
