Layoffs have begun. Around 3AM PT, members of @dailykos Guild were notified that they were laid off via email. At the same time, our @PMWG union rep received notice that our #layoff-aversion proposal had been rejected in full.
While those employees were told that their employment @dailykos ends tomorrow, @dailykos management has already locked them out of Gmail, Slack, and other job-critical tools. #layoffs
Some of our teams have been decimated. The @DailyKosGuild, more than two years later and still without a contract, has officially lost every founding member. The @dailykos Equity Council is now one-third the size of last year.
Recently @Gorillasapp fired hundreds of it's employees. One of those fired, leaked this internal communication according to which the Global Head of Corporate Communications, Rene Beutner considers they've been too soft on the Workers' Council and they should "play hardball".

2/The way that stage 3 of the redundancy process has been carried out is in violation of the College’s own policy on managing organisational change.
3/Just prior to the announcement of the cuts at 7.08pm on a Fri evening, on Tues 5 April the college proudly announced the appointment of 6 new senior posts in the new centralised Professional Services (PS) structure, and have since begun sacking PS staff on pay grades 4 & 5.

Fresenius ist als Medizintechnik- und Gesundheitskonzern seit 1986 an der Börse notiert, mit einem Wert von 23,8 Mrd. USD (2019)! D.h. Gewinne, die mit Gesundheit bzw. Krankheit erzielt werden, werden an Aktionär*innen ausgeschüttet🤮 Die dt. Helios-KH sind Teil von Fresenius.
Mit diesen Helios-Kliniken ist Fresenius der größte private Klinikbetreiber in Europa - in D werden in 87 KH 110.000 Mitarbeiter*innen beschäftigt. Kollektivverträge gibt es nicht, die Arbeitsbedingungen sind an den niedrigsten Standards orientiert, Niedriglöhne normal.

Das Problem mit @demeter_de? Es ist ein privatwirtschaftlicher Unternehmensverband. Das gilt auch für viele andere Anbauverbände ( z.B. #Naturland #Biokreis #Ecovin #Gäa..) Daraus erwachsen einige Probleme, die wir im folgenden kurz erläutern wollen.
