1824 ഇത് കിട്ടൂർ രാജ്യത്തെ അനാഥത്തിൽ ആക്കി മല്ലസ്സരാജയും ഏക മകനും മരണം അടഞ്ഞു എങ്കിലും രാജ്യത്തിൻറെ ഭാവിയെ നിലനിർത്തണം എന്ന ബോധ്യമുള്ള റാണി ചെന്നമ്മ ശിവലിംഗപ്പയെ ദത്തു പുത്രനായി സ്വീകരിച്ചു യുവരാജാവായി അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തു. 2
