2. The average voting turnout in #Uttarakhand in 2017 Vidhan Sabha election was 65.6%. Elections were held on Feb 15, 2017 in 70 seats of which 36 are in 4 plain districts of #Haridwar, #Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar and #Nainital. The remaining 34 seats are in 9 hill districts.
3. The highest polling percentage in the 2017 election was in the districts of Udham Singh Nagar (76.01%), #Haridwar (75.68%) and #Uttarkashi (69.38%).
The lowest polling percentage was in the hill districts of #Almora (53.07%), #Pauri (54.86%) and #Tehri (55.68%).

An excellent project by #Uttarakhand forest executed by Mr. Sandeep Kumar, IFS, DFO #Uttarkashi, using coir geotextile with bamboo pegs and pine needle check dam to protect the pristine #Dayara Bugyal, an #Alpine meadow at an altitude of 11,000 ft in #Uttarakhand.
