1/#UTXO model works like cash transactions, while the account-based model works similar to how bank accounts work.
2/For example- I have a $10 bill. I buy a coffee and muffin for $2 and $3 each and receive $5 change. In UTXO-based blockchains, the $10 bill and the $5 change would be represented as two separate UTXOs.
3/ In UTXO-based blockchains, such as Bitcoin, identity is not a relevant concept.

Rather, the focus is on UTXOs or unspent coins that are allocated to various wallet addresses.

[1/12] 🧵 @Conste11ation ( $DAG) is a highly scalable and secure distributed ledger technology (DLT) that achieves zero/low trust interaction platforms, peer-to-peer (P2P) internet overlay protocols, and platform-neutral computation description language. Let's dive in! 🚀
[2/12] 🔐Zero/Low Trust Interaction Platforms (Shared Security):
@Conste11ation creates a shared security environment through its L0 consensus mechanism. L0 allows metagraphs (custom consensus apps) to maintain their own L1 layer while sharing L0 security with the global network.
[3/12] 🌐This shared security model reduces the need for trust as metagraphs inherit the security of the global L0 network. It's similar to Polkadot's shared security model, where parachains share security provided by the relay chain. #cryptocurrency #DAG

Image

[1/🧵] That is a genuine question, and while the answer may disappoint you, it isn't as important as one may believe.

Let's go back in time to find out what happened and thoroughly address the question. 🧵👇
[2/19] 🧐 First and foremost, let us establish some fundamentals and address the question:
❓ Is "block" the proper term to use ❓

Yes & no, as @JoelKatz puts it:
"The transactions are stored in a series of ledgers, but an #XRPLedger contains everything a block contains.
. . .
[3/19] . . .

So because it’s a chain of ledgers, it’s also a chain of blocks."

The primary distinction between #Bitcoin and #XRPL is that the #XRPLedger utilizes an account model rather than a #UTXO model, thus the term "Ledger".

What's RGB Proxy?🧵⬇️⚡️

RGB proxy is a server done to facilitate the relay of load data between RGB wallets, having better UX for end user and also avoiding attacks of users, spammers, etc.

#bitcoin #LightningNetwork #layer2 #layer3 #rgb #taproot #utxo #privacy
This feature can be used in the following workflow:

-Payee validates the content of consignment file;
-The payer pots consignment file with UTXO blinded provided by the payee in the invoice;
-The payee asks the proxy server if consignment file is associated to the UXTO blinded;
(continue here)

-If exist UTXO blinded to the Payee;
-The payee posts message ACK if is ok, but if fail can post a message NACK;
-The payee asks proxy sever about ACK/NACK. If successful will process Bitcoin transaction;

@aztecnetwork is a PRIVACY-FOCUSED zero-knowledge rollup (ZKR) aiming to provide security, scalability, & privacy for #L222 blockchain transactions.

Don't think you need convincing about why financial privacy is important (hello #TornadoCash).

So, let's discuss Aztec's HOW...
@aztecnetwork Tech
Aztec leverages an in-house technology stack that focuses primarily on 2 overall protocol objectives: privacy & scalability.

ZKRs create large bundles of txs for off-chain computation in the form of cryptographic proofs known as SNARKs.
@jaosef

For a refresher...
SNARKs allow someone to prove they have a particular piece of info without actually revealing the contents of the info.

Popularized by @zcash for enabling anonymous txs, zk tech provides scaling efficiencies for the rollup chain that are then submitted to the main chain. Image

Important questions for those who may have received blocked property in a #grief #spray #spam attack from blocked #tornadocash #ETH addrsses remain unanswered. #OFAC may give clarity in an FAQ; are a few questions that would be helpful for OFAC to address.1st some background/1
By now all of #crypto knows that #OFAC sanctioned #ETH & #USDC addresses related to #Tornadocash and service providers and many #crypto users are struggling to adapt. Why? /2
We’re dealing with a law designed to regulate legal people & entities, &their property, not quasi-autonomous code used by third parties to transact third party assets to others. Arguably the designation exceeds #OFAC’s statutory authority. That’s an argument for another day. /3

Hi @Twitter! Today is TTT (tech-thread tuesday).

We’ll explain how Blockflow prevents double-spending using #UTXO, #PoW and #DAG!

We are going deep-nerdy, so strap-on!

This 🧵is inspired from a convo between @wachmc & @programmargorp in our Discord discord.com/channels/74774…
This started well, but while writing it, it took on a life of its own as we went further down the rabbit-hole, so it’s a bit of a monster thread! Please bear with us! Image
First, some definitions! You can skip that if you’re already an expert!

A trinity of published research papers validating IOTA 2.0, or how #IOTA scientifically proves its potential to become the trust anchor of the world ⚓🌐.
Why are these important? They explain the innovations of our Leaderless Nakamoto Consensus 🧵👇0/3

@arxiv First off, "Access Control for Distributed Ledgers in the Internet of Things: A Networking Approach" describes how writing into the Tangle is regulated and the #access control for our #DAG-based protocol. 👇1/3

To allow for a fast and parallelizable protocol at the core of #IOTA 2.0, the Reality-based #UTXO ledger enables optimistic treatment of incoming transactions before eventual consensus is achieved.
