With talks throughout Europe of dropping mask mandates and no clear action towards mitigation measures like ventilation or CO2 measurements (#COVIDisAirborne), it has become clear that no one is willing to wait for the U5s to get vaccinated to get back to pre-pandemic life
We made up our minds after reading about families that had done the same on the FB from @ImmunizeUnder5s and contacted @U12Schutz to help us with the organisation. We were offered the #Baiersbronn centres so we signed up with @regiopraxis. Everything sorted in just a few days ✅

We're in Germany right now. Landed Wed night, drove 2.5 hrs to our accommodation near the clinic. As the Doctor is working insane hours to help desperate families, they were still working and did a 1am house call. Like a German Mary Poppins minus the umbrella, plus mRNA 😆 2/7

The primary way of measuring likely VE (or more specifically antibody effectiveness) against a virus in the lab is the neutralisation test. In this test, we try to grow (or culture) the virus in the presence of antibodies in the laboratory 2/n
If the antibody is effective, we won’t see any growth because the virus has been ‘neutralised’. If the antibody is not effective, then we will see growth. However, it’s not a yes/no answer. There will be a range of growth from none to lots 3/n

Imagine a cafeteria in a factory, where all the employees mandatorily eat the same food together. The quality of food will necessarily be good, because the management eats there, and they should be kept happy.
