Howdy, #vamily! A few new streaming chronicles have recently started, so it's a good time to look into the themes of Vampire. While these chronicles and your own certainly have their own themes, some ideas are almost universally true to Vampire stories. #Vampirethemasquerade

What will you do in the dwindling time you have left before succumbing to the Beast? This theme concerns itself with the price of power and the illusion of what it offers. The Kindred have great power, but it comes with a chained monster within them, tempting ever to monstrosity.
Alright #vamily let’s address an in game lore problem. Not as serious as usual, but still worth considering for in character #worldbuilding. Asymmetry of information, which is how I built the skeletons of my #worldofdarkness and usually #Vampirethemasquerade games ;)
We’re talking about a bunch of secret people who have been avoiding the dangers of travel whenever possible, and who live mostly through oral tradition (as anything else is possibly a Masquerade breach right). As such whenever one sires a childe, they are the sole educator.
And perhaps you might know how flawed home schooling can be. As such whenever a sire teaches a childe, information is lost, deformed, veiled by the sire’s experience and beliefs. And the childe isn’t always in the best position to be a good learner.

The Anarchs are a sect or faction that has had perhaps the most varied history across the history of #Vampirethemasquerade. While the Camarilla and Sabbat are more extreme in their philosophy, the Anarchs have grown the most across editions. #vamily

One important thing to remember is that we released a lot of books during the revised era, because Vampire was the flagship WoD game. There were years when there were 10 Vampire releases on the schedule. As the developer I was splitting the difference between playable material...
#vamily! So I finished Coteries of New York by @DrawDistanceDev twice over, different #clans for #vampirethemasquerade, different routes. There's some positives, and of course, I'll keep this thread spoiler free.
On the plus side, there's no DLG going back and asking back the same questions, so there's no loops (which is good), the Log to scroll is good, the conversations feel a little more organic. Sound/Music is ok. Font sizes and text speed are good. The art is ok (esp background!)
I did like how out of three clan/characters options, the female one isn't the Toreador. Bummer is she is instead the "career oriented woman with no friends and no family". Black PC isn't the Brujah, so good!

Like all Traditions, many Kindred consider the Tradition of Accounting to be a great idea that lends itself to abuse in practice. Accounting is intended to mandate responsibility, to curtail the havoc of the past, when Kindred Embraced whole broods and God help the world for it.
It’s the Damned’s version of checks and balances. If I’m responsible for my childer’s actions then so are you — so let’s be selective in who we bring under the veil of night. And if you can’t be trusted to do this responsibly, well, hello, Sixth Tradition. Anyway….

In anything but the most tyrannical of cities, every Kindred has the right to some amount of domain. It may be as little as "your haven is your domain and anything else you have to enforce." It may be "a few blocks surrounding your domain."
Kindred in positions of authority who court popular support usually err on the more lenient side of interpreting the Tradition of Domain. For all that a city is a finite amount of space, vampires are rare enough that having a claim of one's own goes far.
Think about what you say! In #VampireTheMasquerade, choose your words carefully, and where appropriate, have them emphasize the Kindred condition. #vamily
For example, have Kindred refer to “tonight,” “this night,” “several nights from now,”etc. Unless they’re specifically referring to events that happen during the hours of daylight, they don’t often mention days.
By the same token, Kindred often say “mortal” instead of “human.” From a thematic perspective, “mortal” helps distinguish vampires from what they once were. Mortal concerns are different (or even lesser, depending on the ideology…) than those of the undead. (Art by Mark Kelly)
