I am traveling in Vande Bharat train from Yzag to Hyd and the lady next to me has been on phone talking about her household politics. Apparently there are differences over jeedipappu koora (cashew curry) and mamidipallu (mangoes).
Apparently her SiL was served the cashew curry and this lady was ignored which clearly upset her. Currently, the heated discussion is about the food that was served in their wedding 20 years ago and how the magapellivaru (ladkewaale) were upset about it.
The lady feels she has always been ignored when it comes to food. Oh wait, it just became interesting! Discussion now is about Tupperware. Apparently her SiL was given pickles in Tupperware boxes while this lady was given in use & throw. This hurts! Who doesn't love Tupperware.!

To get a few brownie points CM Pinnarayi wrote a letter to PM MODI asking for a #VandeBharat to Kerala.
CM knew its a lil difficult to execute, so letter was a challenge under the garb of a request.

The original plan of Pinnarayi Vijayan was to bring a semi-high speed train— silverline project. That project will now go down the drain as Vande Bharat will get priority. Going by commie reputation— Silverline wld hv profited the local politicians and not the commuters.
All those cynics and so-called intellectuals mocking the speed of #VandeBharat and commenting on how the trains in the West and China have moved far ahead in speeds should know why we lagged behind. They should know the history of high-speed railways in India. A small thread!
As I have said earlier, when we ran the Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express above 100 kmph in 1969, we were then the second country in Asia to run trains in excess of 100 kmph and China hadn't achieved this feat. But what happened after that? That's a tale of missed opportunities.
A lot of planning went into running the Rajdhani Express at a speed in excess of 100 kmph. An inter-departmental team of officers was formed to study the track and conduct oscillation trials on the rolling stock. I had the privilege of talking to one of the officers of that team.

Observations abt 1 month old Coach C6 of @VandeBharatExp (BLR to MAS), limited to area around toilets. One can assume that such flaws can be found in other coaches too:

Landed in Delhi. Waited for ~3 hours in the flight afterwhich we were told there is another aircraft been arranged due to a tech fault. Waiting since ~6 hours now. It’s very tough to wear the shield and the mask all thru out. Very suffocating. No ventilation / AC in the airport
