When the history of the rise and fall of @realDonaldTrump is written, #ValentinesDay 2019, House & Senate with #vetoproof majorities forced Trump to give up his wall. But for @foxandfriends @AnnCoulter @rushlimbaugh the @Trump presidency might have survived.
I can't estimate how many traditional Republicans are still Trump supporters but can say with almost certainty that a very powerful base of the GOP will not stand still for a overreaching emergency powers. Nobody, right or left, should turn a blind eye to this @POTUS overreach.
For Trump today was the first time that Congress just hammered him. Today 83 Senators voted to kill his wall. We need 67 to remove him. Building that coalition is the craziest thing Trump could do. And the right wing talk shows got him to do it. It was 100% predictable.
