Answering these two questions.

1) Why is #VikramLander 's life limited to 14 Days?

2) Are there any space landers which regain communication after being lost in past?

#Chandrayan2 #VikramLanderFoundi
1) why only 14 days of #VikramLander life?
The 13-14 days of its scheduled life is limited by the duration of sunlight and once the far side of the moon goes dark, the lander will be in temperatures as low as -170° Celsius.
A low risk lander design is limited to operation for the period that solar power and heat is available, after which most likely the batteries will suffer irreversible freezing damage. There are various design options around this, but all of them add cost and complications.

India's #VikramLander failure is being debated here depending on which angle one is taking: consider.

> up or, better still, overtake. i don’t have to say what it means if we can’t…
now to the failure: we are adversaries; #Kashmiris are under lockdown and being oppressed. while we should never underestimate the adversary, there’s absolutely no reason why we shouldn’t be happy>
