We need to defeat tRump if we are going to have a chance to live to fight another day. We cannot afford the luxury of being purists, arguing about whether or not the party will or wonāt move completely away from fossil fuels or will or wonāt embrace Medicare for all.

1/2 Fatal flaw in Newsweek story. All the constitution requires to be elected president is majority of "appointed" electors. If some states do not appoint electors then number required for majority vote is smaller. To confirm, just read the constitution. But with that said...
2/2 It is certainly possible that if the election was close in terms of electoral votes, that one or more states that (1) Biden won and (2) where the legislature is controlled by Rs, might refuse to appoint electors such that a majority of "appointed" electors vote for Trump.
