How dare she & the BBC talk about "white privilege" - that's a Marxist term. White British people are still the majority in this THEIR OWN COUNTRY & the majority anywhere tend to exercise the most power and influence. That's not racism, that's force of numbers. It's plain logic.

What saddens me about the #WhiteLivesMatter hashtag is that imagine a lot of people are being encouraged to believe that the BLM movement implies that other lives aren't important. Of course it is not, on the contrary, it is saying that black lives have historically and
contemporarily been marginalised, devalued, enslaved and commodified in a unque way. It is a demand for equality not superiority. It's a call to solidarity to overcome the ignorance that blinds people to this fact. I say this because maybe some people using WLM are
naive as opposed to racist. Having said that, I am inclined to think most are racist, as people who demand equality, fairness and human rights generally aren't those who vote for far right wing parties - which seems to be the case with the majority on this hashtag.
