🧵1. There are a lot of political organizations out there and a lot of candidate endorsements. I co-founded @DemsWork4USA with @sumoh7 in 2017. We take a strategic approach to grassroots activism. We believe we need more money on the ground, not more money in ads. 
2. Make no mistake - there is a grassroots army, and they are uniquely positioned to assess candidates and address gaps in the party infrastructure. Our goal is to provide a framework to leverage and maximize the power of on the ground activists - and translate it into wins.
3. We utilize a "grassroots up", multi-state, multi-cycle and longitudinal strategy to channel grassroots support toward candidates that will result in winning seats, retaining seats and building the bench. This is all critical to passing policy at the state and federal level.

1. I am one of a majority of women in America. Yes, I am angry. And disgusted. And fearful over the direction of our country. But, I am far from powerless and with my sisters I make this pledge:

2. As grassroots activists, we were also acutely aware of these issues. Addressing them was the foundation for forming @DemsWork4USA. At the ground level we are identifying and filling gaps in the infrastructure, coalition-building and focusing on community messaging.
3. Through rigorous assessment and targeted grassroots support, we are cultivating a strong Dem bench up and down the ballot - bringing Democratic nominees that can #WinBlue against the GOP in their district and providing a rich field for future offices.

1. A follower recently asked why people should bother donating to political orgs instead of just donating to candidates. This thread will discuss that and why we felt it was strategically necessary to empower grassroots activists with a super pac to #WinBlue.
2. To be clear, you SHOULD be donating directly to candidates. This is an important part of the strategy. We fundraise directly for our endorsed candidates using a ‘tandem’ fundraiser - meaning you can allocate your donation between the candidate and the pac.
3. Super pacs are independent expenditure committees. They are prohibited from donating directly to candidates. The job of a super pac is to support the campaign - to leverage and maximize their efforts - to fill in the gaps and expand their reach. So, why is this important?
1. It's 2018 and time to get #backtowork doing everything we can to elect #Democrats to Congress. Nothing is more important in the battle against the authoritarian slide we've witnessed this past year. Our vote is our voice and our power.
2. We formed Democrats Work For America to fill the gaps in the Dem party infrastructure by engaging, registering, protecting and mobilizing voters and by supporting winnable candidates in winnable districts. We are a super pac for grassroots activists by grassroots activists.
3. With grassroots volunteers all over the country we have fostered collaboration between grassroots organizations and ground-level action to increase voter education and turnout. We have won nearly all our featured elections so far.
