50 Days Until #WITMonth: Léonora Miano is a multi-award-winning Cameroonian-French writer. Some of her books have been translated into English - Season of the Shadow (tr. Gila Walker) and Dark Heart of the Night (tr. Tamsin Black) - however the vast majority remain untranslated. 
49 Days Until #WITMonth: Emmelie Prophète is a Haitian poet and novelist, who won the Prix littéraire des Caraïbes for her novel Testament des Solitudes. Her works are not currently available in any English translation.
There are 50 days until #WITMonth begins! And since of course recognizing #womenintranslation should not be a fixture of August alone, this thread will feature one woman writer from around the world for the next 50 days!
#WITMonth Countdown Day 50: Trifonia Melibea Obono from Equatorial Guinea, translated from Spanish by @lawrenceschimel! LA BASTARDA is a great choice for #PrideMonth as well, a slim novella that more than carries its weight.
