#westernmexico

I used to dream of that fairy tale story, where I get to wear a princess dress n walk down the aisle.

I was sold by that “dream” as a little girl. The notion of as a woman, u need a man to fulfil these “fairy tale” dreams, IMO, is a way to take away a woman’s personal power.
But NOW, time’s changed.

I reclaimed n recreated my identity.

WE as a woman, we can do whatever we want without another person’s approval.
I can wear a wedding dress on just a regular day.
I can wear a princess dress whenever I want just bcos I want to look n feel beautiful
You don’t need anyone to say YES to you.

You don’t need anyone to approve of you.

Because YOU approve YOURSELF.

It is your thought of who YOU that matters.

[THREAD] Two days ago, it was my nameday, so let me tell you about my namesake : Saint Audrey, the OG feminist.
So Saint Audrey, back then named Æthelthryth, was the daughter of Anna, king of East Anglia, and was born in Suffolk.
She had four sisters and one brother. Plot twist, all sisters founded abbeys, and Erkenwald became Bishop of London, and was canonized.

Runs in the family.
But back to Audrey.

She made an early first marriage in around 652 to Tondberct, chief of the South Gyrwe in the Fens. She persuaded her husband to respect the vow of perpetual virginity that she had made prior to their marriage.

Except you don't have the consciousness to do that- only what you've, perhaps, been programmed to register, process, or maybe transmit/emit. Here in #Ireland on the other hand there are 💚s everywhere hoping to #repealthe8th #LISTENUP #Focus on #Caring #Now to ensure #legislation

3/ Think you want to **Repeal the 8️⃣️th** 💚s? This is a sane quote from here, Ireland, today:"The dissolution of the Dáil would see the simultaneous dissolution of all Oireachtas Committees. ---
