"An individual who's developing must feel badly in different periods of time, must be tormented by sadness, depression, anxiety, inner and external conflicts. Without these experiences there's no development, there's no growth of self-awareness."(K. Dabrowski).

It's #WorldMentalHealthDay

On #WorldMentalHealth, I will now give you my incredibly wise and useful tips towards having moderately decent mental health. I'm an expert - at having mental health issues - which might seem like I have no idea what I'm talking about, but these things have helped me (a bit)
1) Boring as it sounds, get enough sleep. You feel absolutely EVERYTHING more when you are sleep deprived. Plus, sleep is great for stopping everything hurting for a while. Unless you have weirdarse dreams. But even then.
2) Try to find something meaningful to do, even if it isn't work. One of the things that has helped me a lot is the fact I HAD to go to work, but also that my job wasn't shit. If your job is shit, do volunteering or something that helps you feel that what you do matters.
