Dear Black Afrikans,

Inasmuch as we stand in solidarity with #GeorgeFloyd's family and all black Americans... I am MORE concern about y(our) hypocrisy at home, on the mother continent. Oppression. Violence. Systematic racism.

(A mini thread) ⤵️⤵️⤵️
1. We've had the full-on oppression of black people from the French government and no movement was created; I know... You might argue that it's different, that the circumstances are different but isn't violence violence? Or is there good and bad violence?
2. We've had many many many people disappear or die under mysterious circumstances in Rwanda and y'all were and still are quiet. Does violence and murder between black on black makes it better (OK), than white on black? Why aren't y'all (we) making the same noise?

WHEN TODDLERS SPEAK IN THE PUBLIC

Good morning @gimbakakanda
I saw an article on @AJEnglish written by you titled "Why Nigeria cannot afford a stand-off with South Africa"

Let me appreciate the fact that you have not denied the fact that you are a Nigerian YET.
THREAD
@gimbakakanda @AJEnglish In Nigeria, there is a Yoruba adage that says "Bi omode ba l'aso bi agba, ko le l'akisa bi agba" simply saying although a toddler can have enough clothes like the elderly ones, he does not have enough RAGS like the elderly ones..
The philosophers called that THE WISDOM OF AGES.
@gimbakakanda @AJEnglish I am aware that you are still young and still enjoying academic sponsorship, but your exposure to the wider world should be enough to give you more depth as you penned down this article INDICTING your motherland of WEAKNESS.
Excuse me please, for what purpose & to what end?

IS HISTORY ALL TRUE series:
How Democracy Created Barriers to Freedom, Happiness, and Prosperity

🔹I read back in 2012, that Zuma earned more than David Cameron and François Hollande did, and that his salary cost #SouthAfrica five times what Obama’s did the US❗️😳

🔹Why was that? Could we peg ourselves against America, France, or England? Hardly.
🔹Time Magazine recently showcased the abhorrent divide between the have & have nots in #SouthAfrica. So isn't it despicable? That our leaders...
