2/15 In the statement that announced @fortunechasi's dismissal yesterday, Chief Secretary to the President & Cabinet, Dr Misheck Sibanda, said Chasi's "conduct of Government business had become INCOMPATIBLE with the President's EXPECTATIONS". It's very important to unpack this! 
3/15 Chasi's conduct of Government business was INCOMPATIBLE with Mnangagwa's EXPECTATIONS in one respect in two cases, which cost him his cabinet post: Chasi did not want ministerial decisions made for him, he wanted to make or recommend decisions & take responsibility for them!
1/3 FORTUNE CHASI'S MISFORTUNE: To uninitiated pundits, Sydney Gata was brought back to #Zesa due to his Mugabe links. No. Gata has deep personal links with Mnangagwa. Gata's #Zesa appointment was by presidential order. When @fortunechasi suspended Gata, he had to go & he's gone!
2/3 From 2009 to 2017, Gata used to be a conspicuous & perennial visitor to Mnangagwa's Defence House offices, when he was Defence Minister; and to his New Govt Complex Building offices, when he was VP & Justice Minister. Gata is one of Mnangagwa's key but unheralded advisors!
3/3 There's a more fundamental bond between Gata & Mnangagwa. Gata's son is married to one of three sisters that Mnangagwa treats as his own daughters. If journalists were to dig out her name & Mnangagwa links, they'll unravel Mnangagwa's "expectations" that Chasi failed to meet!

2/10 In 2011,Zesa awarded Revmax Zim(Itron) a tender to implement a Prepaid Power Billing System(PPBS) which they implemented.the system however enabled Zesa to sell tokens in the banking halls ONLY & there was need for an aggregator who could link 3rd parties to the PPBS
3/10 In 2013 ,ZESA awarded Revma Zim an aggregator tender (ZETDC/HO/04/ 2013) for which Revma was part of the adjudication team which means they technically evaluated other competitors and themselves.The tender was later cancelled by minister Mavhaire(PBR 1695 of Dec 19, 2013)
1) The power situation can be resolved immediately by any decent caring & competent gvt . As a matter of urgency the regime should scrap the fuel subsidy to #Sakunda & #Trafigura & use that to guarantee importation of at least 400 MW of energy .
2) Secondly @ZetdcOfficial must levy & collect charges in US$ to guarantee permanent imports .If this is done it’s only fair & logical that energy consumers must also levy their labor ,services & goods in US$. Thirdly there must a be a scientific &systematic push to green energy
3)Fourth there must be resolution of the country sovereign debt crises to enable access to cheap funds held particularly at the World Bank & African Development Bank . Development Finance key & necessary to fund major infrastructure energy projects.
