Beautiful statement from PGFTU in Gaza congratulating #BlockTheBoat in #Oakland and calling on dockworkers around the world to act in solidarity as we continue our international week of action against the Israeli apartheid profiteers at #ZIM. #EndIsraeliApartheid
Statement:

.@gksteinhauser & @WSJ's latest piece on #Zim is typical modern-day "journalism". It fails to cite me as the source for its hyperinflation data. Plus, it fails to copy my numbers correctly. 79.6B% was Zim’s peak MONTHLY, not annual, inflation in '08. (1/3)
wsj.com/articles/zimba…
Next, the #WSJ claims that Zim has "return(ed) to hyperinflation". Nonsense. Hyperinflation occurs when inflation exceeds 50%/mo. for 30 days. Today, Zim's monthly inflation does not meet these thresholds. (2/3)
Lastly, instead of reporting the current annual inflation rate of 1273.36%/yr. (which I accurately measure each day) the #WSJ reports the old "official" rate of 786%/yr. My 95% rule holds: 95% of what you read in the financial press is either wrong or irrelevant. (3/3)
