I'm really disappointed with something. REALLY disappointed.

I've been here all of two months or so, and I'm already thinking of leaving.

Why? The Zoo community treats one of it's own like shit, because they are conservative. I have a feeling I'm not the first.

It's sad too, we're one of the groups people look down on the most, and yet we politicize internally. This is ridiculous.
This is a group that refuses to admit problems with their community, accept blindly, promote vandalism ('sticker campagin'), and for what? Do you think society, or any govt. will accept you? With this kind of behavior?

You know what, since it's been in my feed a lot lately; let's talk about US Laws, Bestiality, and Zoophilia.

To start, Zoophilia is LEGAL, EVERYWHERE in the United States.

Zoophilia, more apt Zoosexuality, is the psychological manifestation of an attraction [sexual, romantic] to animals. It is IMPOSSIBLE for it to be illegal, that would be thought crime.
BESTIALITY, the physical act of sex with an animal, does not, and oft. IS NOT associated with Zoosexuality / Zoophilia, you can be a 'normie' and have sex with an animal.

The legality, punishment, and processing of Bestial interaction depends on WHERE you live in the US.

Unfortunately, it has come to my attention that a very talented artist whose work is beloved by many zoos and furries has used their influence and platform to unintentionally spread harmful misinformation. Despite the good intentions of @Elicitie, this must be corrected.
This is a position @Elicitie, I, zoos, and many animal advocates share. Indeed sexual contact between homosapiens and other taxalogical families should be consensual. The term 'zoophilia' has been superseded by 'zoosexuality' in the literature.

1) 28 TWEET THREAD. We're helping tippers put a problem on record. It starts with convicted animal rapist @cupidthedeer. His crime blew open the ring with @KeroTheWolf. Now there's questionable trust for events and groups who host the problem. en.wikifur.com/wiki/Cupid_the… #animalabuse ImageImage
2) "Questionable trust" falls short of naming the problem. It's not innocent people reacting to crime after finding out. It's circles of fellow travelers who enable each other. Some furry fandom events and groups are tacitly and corruptly run by and for zoophiles. #corruption ImageImageImageImage
3) You may not know it, but zoophiles know each other. They make safe spaces for each other where animal abuse gets taken for granted. @cupidthedeer was just one who got convicted while many like Kero get away with it. #stopanimalabuse #zoophilia

Time for a new thread. This time answering @TherzanH. First of all: thanks for taking the time and effort you took for your reply and thanks for engaging respectfully.
This thread discusses #zoophilia #utilitarianism #contractualism

Actually, no. Consent is a concept of contractualism, but my arguments are based on utilitarianism where you don't measure things based on consent but based on the happiness or suffering an action creates. Image
Contractualism is a political theory and can only be applied to those who can give consent as defined by that theory. Within that theory everyone who can't consent has no rights and the theory provides no reason to treat them morally.

1/14 A pattern y'all might start to notice when debating with anti-zoos is their habit often shifting the goalpost almost every time they say something. This common for people who don't argue based on knowledge or evidence but based on their ideology.
A thread:
#zoophilia
Here is an example for this "shifting the goalpost" can look like. Does it make it less of a "no" that the mare give the "no" to a stallion instead of a human? Not at all. In fact it is such an universal "no" that all animals (including humans) can understand it very easily. Image
So of course I could pick up the stick and go on and show them other videos where horses kick humans (like this one: ). But that would lead to me chasing the goal post. They would say "but that was an accident", "but that was an reaction to violence", etc.

Gov. Matt Bevin signed Senate Bill 67, which outlaws sex between humans and animals. Kentucky was one of five states that did not have a law banning bestiality. Wyoming, New Mexico, West Virginia, Hawaii and Washington, D.C. still have no such laws. wlky.com/article/gov-be…
Anyone surprised about the states NOT banning bestiality? Wyoming, New Mexico, West Virginia, Hawaii and Washington, D.C.
SHAME ON YOU!
BeastForum that boasts over 1.2 million registered #zoophilia members. Some states don't think there's anything wrong with it, either. It's actually legal in places like Washington, D.C. (go figure), West Virginia, Kentucky, New Mexico, and Wyoming. wbsm.com/bestiality-is-…
