18-year-old high schooler Carly Shaffer came up from San Diego with her mom and sister, after canvassing this morning. She led her school’s walkout, interned for political campaigns and for her first-ever vote for the primary elections, was first in line at her precinct.
She told me: “I realized my voice wasn’t going to be heard unless I made it heard.” Her sister, 7th-grader Hayley, told me I should take down Carly’s name because she was going to be president some day! 👭
