For #InternationalWomensDay I want to give a shout out to all the women in ministry. Liberal. Conservative. Ordained. Lay ministry. YOU GET IT DONE! You love us when we are hurting and we are so grateful.
When I was in the hospital, women #chaplains came out of the woodwork to pray for me, read scripture, and just be cool around my family and friends who were FREAKING OUT INSIDE.
When I was a new mom, women in the church dropped a zillion sleepers and casseroles at my door and somehow understood when I was like HAVE YOU USED HAND SANITIZER THIS IS SERIOUS.
I am surrounded by incredible @DukeDivinity women, faculty + staff + students, who are all, apparently, #Enneagram2 because we are all suffering from chronic empathy.
And a special thanks to WOMEN IN MINISTRY ON TWITTER because this is hard place to be seen and understood at the same time. I am convinced that the most commonly used phrase on Twitter is WHAT DID YOU MEAN BY THAT.
