An amateur video of the iconic Kauwa Dol Buddha as it looks like currently:

On World Heritage Day, kicking off a short 'Hidden Heritage' series in @TOIPatna with this story on Kauwa Dol. Inputs welcome.

Second part of the Hidden Heritage series in @TOIPatna, on Sher Shah's iconic tomb in #Sasaram, #Rohtas dist. While we have all read abt Sher Shah (even if it was only in school books), surprised how few Indians, even within #Bihar, have actually seen this place. Inputs welcome.

Concluding part of 'Hidden Heritage' series in @TOIPatna, where I compare the stupa at Kesariya to the Borobudur temple. A pity that while one is a UNESCO World Heritage site, the other lies partially excavated. This, despite the first exploration of the two happening the same yr

The similarities between the Kesariya stupa, East Champaran dist, #Bihar and the massive temple at Borobudur, #Java, #Indonesia are too obvious to ignore. Also, they cannot be covered entirely in a 600-word story. Needs a bigger canvas.
