At the official opening ceremony of the #EAPCCO Counter Terrorism Workshop at the #INTERPOL Regional Bureau for Eastern Africa HQs. The two day workshop brings together Experts from member countries to offer views on how the Centre of Excellence should be fully Operationalised.
Speaking at the occasion the DCI George Kinoti said, “the Regional Counter Terrorism Centre of Excellence is unique in that all member countries are expected to second Focal point officers whose operations are going to cut across the entire region.”
“I am glad that the experts in the region have come to hasten the growth & full operationalisation of this centre. It is my hope that by the conclusion of this workshop,we shall have pledged to take the relevant steps towards the full operationalisation of the centre.”~Mr.Kinoti.
@DCI_Kenya Director: ‘Going forward, we shall be expecting a lot from this centre in terms of research, coordination,sharing of intelligence among member states and capacity building activities for the greater good of the people of this region.’
Mr. George Kinoti: “Having a fully staffed office will mean that our expertise built over the years under our countries’ unique experiences will amalgamate to ensure that we are better equipped to fight terror in whichever form it assumes”
