Do yourselves a favor - and tune out for two weeks.
Seriously. Move your Twitter and Facebook and Reddit apps to the last page on your phone so you can’t habitually open them.
Replace them with Books or something else. Stop consuming news.
The vast majority of people won’t do this, but god damn does it give you perspective on all of this day to day.
I was lured back for a second by the news of declas, so I’m dipping in to see what’s up with that.
But it’s stupid.
I haven’t watched CNN in about a month (I used to watch all the time to see what Don Lemon was gesticulating about)
I just turned it on for a sec to see if they were reacting to Declas
He’s dramatically babbling about President Trump raising his voice in a meeting or something.
“This President is trying to distract you” says Don.
Distract me? What makes you assume I was paying any attention whatsoever?
Fucking self absorbed. All of them.
I laughed at the President’s jokes and turned it off again.
Like I said, Trump won. Fucking legend, that man.
He’s got this, so I can focus on other things.
But people in the real world don’t really think or talk about politics that much day to day.
It’s better that way.
And Trust, I know it’s fun to follow the day to day narratives and storylines
But getting perspective on all of this is a panacea.
Highly recommend it.
