So a few words on the European elections. Firstly a massive congratulations to Remain parties who have made great progress against nationalists who ran a campaign of lies & intimidation. We knew it before & it is confirmed again. The country is Remain. 1/

Across Europe progress has also been made particularly in regards to the environment with Green parties increasing their presence and also other parties campaigning on green issues. This is great news for us and for generations to come. 2/

Whilst progress has been made of course we have seen the plague of nationalism spreading. We can take heart that with all the foreign funding & tech supporting behind the extreme Right, Europe has made a stand against them and shown that sense, decency & respect can prevail. 3/

And let's think about that funding behind the fascists. We know the extreme Right are corrupt, claiming to be patriots whilst selling out their own citizens for money & power. Yesterday's vote was very much about the people against that corruption. 4/

Let us not forget the scale of the machine behind those corrupt extremists. Massive troll farm operations, limitless funding from US hedge funds & Russian oligarchs. These the people behind Salvini, Orban, Farage and Le Pen. 5/

So these elections were a battle between the people of Europe and those backing the extreme Right, foreign power. What we know is this, the people will not change & will continue that fight, as long as they know who their true enemy is. 6/

So our mission is to continue to spread the word that the extreme Right are backed by foreign power in order to destroy Europe and make the lives of most European worse through economic & social breakdown. 6/

We must make people aware of the lies, the money, the fascist networks, the trolls. Awareness of the trolls is key and pressure on social networks to take action against them. If we can spot them so easily then surely they can 7/

And btw let's think about the level of participation in the democratic process that was reflected in this election, one of the biggest votes in history. That shows us how much the people appreciate this Union of European people, it shows us people want democracy 8/

Whilst the evil #AltRight might do its best to break our faith in each other & in humanity, these elections show us that the people are stronger. Give the people the truth & trust in our innate humanity. 9/

Their strategy is to make us feel we are less than we are but we are more than they would like us to believe. We really are better than that. Onwards my friends. We fight on. 🙏✌🏼 #FBPE
