Puzzles are just a stepping stone to the “real work” of your product.

Puzzles can be well defined problems - products aren’t well defined. They’re an evolution and ongoing dialogue with customers to determine the puzzles needing to be solved. This is further reinforced by puzzles already solved by the “Rest of the World”

Abstraction and (especially) SaaS is incredibly powerful for companies. You don’t need to “know how to build a pencil to write with it” you can focus on the problems your biz needs to really solve!

The biggest obstacles to change aren’t internal - they are the outside forces looking to minimize change. These are systems and customers at are latched on to old APIs or databases.

Products are about designing change and involving all the right stakeholders.

Observability is *key* to product change. Products need to know who is using them and how they are being used. Lacking this product evolutions will be painful and slow.

To be good at growing products you need to be comfortable with being wrong!
