Yesterday I took a short trip to Catalina Island to visit with @AvalonLASD. The scenery all around was beautiful, but more importantly I was able to get a first-hand understanding of how we are ensuring public safety for the residents & tourists on the island. #SheriffV
A quick trip around Two Harbors, or "The Isthmus", afforded me the opportunity to see the area we protect and agencies we partner with on the island. #SheriffV

Lastly, continuing my goal to meet with communities throughout @CountyofLA , I joined the Avalon mayor & city council to present my vision for the #LASD. By continuing this open dialogue we can work together towards maintaining safety and building stronger communities. #SheriffV
