I'll never forget when I was having a drink with someone the moment I knew he had been turned. Suddenly he was talking pseudo science to justify the wealthy paying no tax. It's like he'd been indoctrinated. It was a WTF moment when you knew the sands were shifting. 1/ #FBPE
There was other pseudo intellectual crap that followed. The tropes he'd been given to justify his position and make his argument. I listened for a few minutes but I knew at that moment he was gone and our friendship was over. 2/
It reminded me of that moment in the Sound of Music when the daughter's boyfriend betrays the family and we realise he has been radicalized to become a member of the Nazi Party. I'm sure you all have had similar moments, when the person you thought you knew, isn't anymore. #FBPE
The weird thing is that in that moment not only do they stop being your friend but they start becoming an informer...
