I have concerns about @marwilliamson .There is an urge within the spiritual community to happily collapse into the first signs of spiritual understanding in a leader. I do this. It's hard not to given how starved we are for higher meaning, connection & understanding.

But, we must find centre and recognize that our collective desperation and exhaustion can be used against us. We can become too eager to trust leaders that seem to speak our language. Anytime we are incredibly charged on an issue we are more easily manipulated. A harsh reality.

I am concerned that this very thing is happening with Marianne. I appreciate her role in bringing spiritual perspective into politics and her railing against the toxicity of our world, but I would like some clear answers about ACIM and its associations with MK ULTRA.

ACIM, or A Course In Miracles, is a popular channeled spiritual program that modernizes Jesus' teachings into short digestible meditations. It was made popular by Marianne in the 90's, landing her on Oprah and putting her in a league most spiritual teachers will never touch.

In particular we need to address Bill Thetford who helped write ACIM and later worked on the 'Human Ecology' project which was part of the CIA's MK ULTRA program. If anyone has further evidence or opinion about this please place the links below this thread. 🧐

This association, even if indirect, is extremely concerning. To be clear, the CIA, particularly MK ULTRA, should be nowhere near the spiritual community or politics. Spiritual techniques are not psychological weapons, they are tools of authentic liberation. Period.

Call me crazy, but it is all in the details. The use of the "Alice Springs"as photographer caught my eye here in her spread in VF.

The Alice in Wonderland mythos is a powerful, archetypal, psychic development mythos that was hijacked & utilized by the CIA to program ppl.

This may seem like a harmless detail to many, but when it comes to the practice ritual magick, it is a big deal. This is an #InPlainSight tactic where part of the practice is left in the open for our subconscious mind.

Alice Springs AUS is also home to Pine Gap (CIA project).

I also worked in Fashion for nearly a decade and truthfully it is very hard to get an editorial in a magazine like Vanity Fair, especially during this time period before the internet when print was still king. You have to be connected.

To be crystal clear, I am not "attacking" Marianne. I am a cloud riding, Kombucha swigging, barefoot walking New Ager, I love spirituality, it is my job. I want to see society embrace their Spirit more than anyone, but it has to be right. True seekers embrace examination.
