No, he didn't know what he was talking about in 2016. But there are a lot of comments/replies that suggest people didn't actually read the article.

They should. Otherwise, you're no better than anyone else.

That said, even with the big media suspension of ethics over the man's first term, there are things he has not done to appeal to the middle.

That's just true. But to pretend like @HotlineJosh you know whether he'll win or not when Dems don't even have a nominee, is very foolish.

@HotlineJosh Also, if you turn out to be right, speaking to people like Josh, it doesn't mean you're smart. It just means you're a follower who got lucky because social bias worked.

So, again, you don't really have historical data on your side. You have unprecedented suspension of ethics.

@HotlineJosh One more also...

If you cite national polls, you're just telling me that you're too lazy to read Census data. This is still an electoral college system, and the latest data suggest the disparity is more likely to grow, not shrink.

So, you're either lazy or faking smart.

@HotlineJosh If Democrats are so convinced people like @HotlineJosh suddenly have a clue, then I dare you to nominate Elizabeth Warren.

I double dog, tripe dog dare you to nominate her.

@HotlineJosh Screw Joe Biden. Hotline Josh and other know-nothings say Donald Trump "can't" and "won't" win reelection.

So, go for gusto and go ahead and nominate @ewarren. Be true to yourself since he "can't" win. That sounds so sound to me.

Do it.

😉

@HotlineJosh @ewarren And just to be clear, I don't mean Trump has to move to the middle in policy. I just argued supporting gun control was mentally disabled.

His issue is style, not substance. On policy, he needs to change nothing. He just needs message discipline and he'll win in a landslide.
