When the pilot tried to disconnect, he realized the refueling probe was stuck inside the basket. Reducing power, he noticed that the hose was leaking and started breaking.
He has no choice but to force the disconnect by reducing power. He then saw that I remained linked to the KC130 by a thin metallic strand.
When the strand broke, the hose impacted the #Mirage2000 with a tremendous blow. The remaining steel part, still attached to the AAR probe, threatened to break the canopy or be ingested by the right intake. The flight back home was a tense one.
