NEW REPORT: Today, our office is releasing a report that elevates community concerns about housing #discrimination, racism, and violence against the #LGBTQ+ community—and how our office is responding to protect residents: bit.ly/2JXw3hP
At OAG's #civilrights listening sessions this summer, community members described to us a painful truth—many DC residents still face harmful #discrimination and even violence because of who they are, who they love, or where they are from.
These passionate and personal stories have pointed our #civilrights work to a path forward.
We recently introduced legislation to help combat #hatecrimes in DC and have filed several lawsuits to stop unlawful housing discrimination in the District.
Join us for two community conversations in November as we continue to listen and work closely with the community:
🗓Nov. 13 at 6pm
🗓Nov. 14 at 6pm

Thanks to @ChmnMendelson @BrianneKNadeau and @trayonwhite for joining us at our listening sessions this summer to hear directly from District residents about their concerns.
@ChmnMendelson @BrianneKNadeau @trayonwhite If DC residents experience #discrimination of ANY kind, report it to OAG by calling 202-727-3400, emailing OAGCivilRights@dc.gov or filling out an online form: civilrightscomplaint.dcoag.net
Residents can also file a complaint with @DCHumanRights at ohr.dc.gov/service/file-d…
