A conspiracy thread: Stargates
Ever since I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the idea of doorways into other worlds. Really, I think portals are a concept we are all interested in one way or another, which is probably why they are a major theme in many movies and television shows.
However, portals are not a new idea. Stories about magical gateways into other realms have been around for all of time. These stories seem to be engrained in our cultures, and I believe this is because they were once a very real thing.
If these “stargates”, as I like to call them, really existed at one point, is it possible they are still here? Some conspiracy theorists think so. Some even go as far as to say that the US government started the Iraq War in order to retrieve one.
Apparently George Bush wasn’t lying when he said they were looking for weapons of mass destruction. He just couldn’t tell us what they found. It sounds ridiculous, but if you take into consideration some history, the theory starts to make sense.
Modern day Iraq is actually located where the ancient civilization of Sumer once stood. In fact, it’s one of the oldest civilizations we know of.
According to Zecharia Sitchin, if you translate ancient Sumerian texts, they tell a story about beings coming down from the stars and gifting humans with advanced technology.
Supposedly one of these gifts was the stargate, and it was capable of sending someone across the galaxy in the blink of an eye. Were these beings actually extraterrestrials? Was the stargate set up so they could come and go from their home planet as they please?
Another potential portal could be in Peru. In Peru there is a massive door like structure carved out of rock called the Gate of the Gods. According to legend, the gateway leads to a place where immortal beings reside. Many great heroes traveled there in hopes of joining them.
Perhaps an example of a more popular stargate is the Bermuda Triangle. Some conspiracy theorists claim the area, which is known for it’s many mysterious disappearances, is the location of an interdimensional vortex, possibly created by lost Atlantean technology.
Another possible stargate which has been responsible for bizarre disappearances, is the Michigan Triangle, located beneath the water of Lake Michigan. In 2007 scientists discovered a strange stone structure there, which has since been dubbed Michigan’s Stonehenge.
Is it possible people are trying to recreate these doorways in our modern times? Television shows like Stargate and movies like Doom seem to hint at this possibility. Ironically, the plot of Doom is oddly similar to what conspiracy theorists claim CERN is trying to achieve.
Some say the scientists at CERN, who have admitted to looking for other dimensions and mini black holes, are trying to create a portal to Hell to unleash demons upon the Earth. They say it will be done using plasma conduits, known as Birkeland currents, that connect to Saturn.
The Doom franchise also seems to hint at many other conspiracy theories such as the singularity, demonic artificial intelligence, and government facilities on Mars. Apparently Obama went there in his youth as a part of a program run by DARPA, but yeah, I’m not so sure about that.
Other modern day portals, which I’ve discussed before (and you can read more about on your own), could have possibly been created during secret government experiments like Project Looking Glass, the Montauk Project, and the Philadelphia Experiment, just to name a few.
So are scientists trying to summon evil extraterrestrials? Were the beings coming through ancient stargates really demons disguised as gods? It’s possible. But I don’t believe stargates are a bad thing. It may be that they exist within us and are the secret to our evolution.
Some fringe theorists, namely those who partake in synchromysticism, a practice created by Jake Kotze (@Seallion), believe the stargate is symbolic of enlightenment. More about his metaphysical system can be found in The Sync Book.
Many ancient mystery schools used to practice strange initiation rites where a student would be taken into a dark chamber for an extended period of time in order to simulate death. Some of these chambers were in caves or temples, and others were like coffins in the ground.
Once deprived of their senses, they would then ingest some form of hallucinogens, such as mushrooms, and be taken to “another dimension” where they would then be “reborn” and achieve “illumination”.
Ironically, the Super Mario franchise illustrates this idea quite well. A man who eats mushrooms is taken to another world where he jumps through portals and fights reptilian creatures. Many of the levels also take place near pyramids.
He also famously travels across a rainbow bridge, an idea very similar to the Bifröst Bridge from Norse mythology, which was described as connecting Earth to the heavenly realms. The Biblical Jacob’s Ladder is another similar concept.
It seems all throughout time mushrooms have been associated with another world, specifically the world of elves and fairies. This seems to align with the experiences many psychonauts have while experimenting with DMT. Many claim to encounter elf like creatures.
So is it possible we can use hallucinogens to access another world? Is it possible a fully enlightened being can without them? I think so. In fact, there are eastern religions that claim traveling between worlds is one of the spiritual gifts a master can obtain.
Perhaps people like the scientists at CERN are going about it the wrong way, or the artificial way, and for the wrong reasons, and this is why it will backfire.
However, I’ve also heard a conspiracy about a benevolent secret society who’s trying to create a portal out of this world so they can go somewhere else and create their own. One without evil and madness.
Maybe I will write more about that another time. And maybe I will write more about the entities residing in other dimensions another time. But once again, we’re going off the rails here, so I will wrap this up.
Perhaps seeking the next dimension is what this lifetime is about. Perhaps it is the only way out of the time cube simulation I talk about so much.
Or maybe that’s a dangerous form of escapism and what we’re supposed to do is create a better world right here right now. I’m not totally sure but I would love to hear your thoughts. As always, thanks for reading.
