I write: @VassarSJP @NationalSJP hate @HenMazzig bc their whole schtick is yelling that Zionists = uniquely, uniformly evil. But Hen is a good person--a Zionist AND a total mensch, & doesn't fit SJP's 'evil Zionist' mold. He proves SJP wrong just by being.

THREAD: 2/ It's the same reason @NationalSJP @VassarSJP scream "#pinkwashing." Anything good Israel does contradicts SJP's idea that Israel as a Jewish nation is uniquely, uniformly evil. And since SJP has no substantive argument against the reality of Israel's good works...

THREAD: 3/ ...@VassarSJP @NationalSJP must invent malice where there's none, in order to justify their own bigoted behavior--behavior which, in the end, is much more about making themselves feel important than it is about implementing measurable improvements in Palestinian lives.

THREAD 4/: Similarly, @VassarSJP @NationalSJP can't handle the fact that Jews like @HenMazzig's fam were often victims of Arab & Muslim brutality & exile (which ofc, only *contributed* to the formation & strength of Israel by forcing Jews to flee there) bc...

THREAD 5/: ...if @HenMazzig/ Zionists are bad, but also victimized by the very ppl @VassarSJP wants to cast as victims, SJP's simplistic paradigm & insistence on viewing 🌍 only in terms of *bad white Jewish oppressor vs good brown Muslim/ Palestinian oppressed* falls apart.

THREAD 6/: So if @HenMazzig speaks on that persecution, the facts of which support the idea that 🇮🇱 protects a chronically persecuted ppl (thus ensuring its survival is a moral imperative) @VassarSJP @NationalSJP's entire self-image as *noble defenders of justice* is threatened.

THREAD 7/: Plus, narratives showing that 🇮🇱 is largely *good* for Jews of color is especially hard for @VassarSJP @NationalSJP to deal w/ bc 'intersectional' SJP considers *itself* (not evil Israel) a defender of ALL PoC. So, instead of engaging w these glaring contradictions...

THREAD 8:/...or worse, risk losing the hearts & minds of less gullible students by allowing those students to consider those contradictions (and, you know, *learn*) @VassarSJP @NationalSJP tries to keep @HenMazzig from speaking at all, & others at @Vassar from hearing him.

THREAD 9/: Then, @VassarSJP @NationalSJP justify their obviously illiberal, totalitarian-inspired behavior by claiming moral high ground. It's Orwellian, & shows that SJP thinks that ppl agreeing w you (regardless of ppl's reasons) --rather than evidence--is what makes you right.

THREAD 10/: & why do @VassarSJP @narionalsjp think that? Bc SJP arguments & evidence are weak. Bc SJP's not confident in its own claims. Secure w ur data/ analysis? U'll be ready to listen/ invite ppl to listen to u. Insecure w urself & ur claims? U'll whine/ forbid conversation.
