Mass psychosis & neurosis is more common than individual lunacy. And much more dangerous. History is rife with examples.

The Germans who supported Hitler were ordinary folks, much like some of our nice neighbors and family members. Yet in a group, nay a creed, they turned evil.

Take a look at people like Anand Ranganathan. Intelligent. Witty. Seems likeable. Educated. Formidable intellect.

Yet....a brownshirt. Biased. Blinded.

Mass psychology takes prisoners w/o paying heed to social, economic,educational status. "Belonging" trumps ethics & morality.

A man is known by the company he keeps.
This is Anand's friend Vivek.
Vivek epitomises bigotry, intolerance, hatred for the "other" and "blind Modi bhakti".
What does that tell you about Anand?

I am sure he was pretty witty, intelligent, possessed a formidable intellect. But was deficient in moral reasoning! Victim of mass psychosis!

Carl Jung is not someone i am too impressed by when it comes to scientific psychology.
But he did put forth certain ideas which made eminent sense.

He is predictable. When enough energy is directed at them, molecules do disintegrate into constituent atoms.
Stress is energy too - Anand is disintegrating into his component parts.
But, yeah, he is still witty!
