On 19 December 2018, protests erupted in the northern Sudanese town of Atbara. These protests were beginning of the Sudanese Revolution which resulted in the toppling of a dictator and a transition to peace & democracy.

All possible thanks to the ultimate sacrifice of hundreds.

The Sudanese revolution was a women's revolution. Women and girls made up a majority of the protest crowds and refused the leave the streets, even when the situation became most deadly
