Thread 5: JDY and KSH before/during TTON. I will now flesh out and establish the relationship dynamics between #JangDongYoon and #KimSoHyun before and during #TheTaleofNokdu. First, I wish to remain on what our #DongJeonCouple have always insisted in their interviews:

that the two have a close sibling relationship especially before TTON. Besides, the whole production team has also labeled their relationship as such. I believe this sibling relationship also went on until the earlier part of TTON as this was evident on many occasions

in the BTS videos when the two would actually tease and bicker each other. (I think there was a time when KSH called JDY stupid in one of the BTS. So close! lol) And all the casts especially JDY, KSH and KTO have said that they met many times before TTON started shooting

which meant more time for the casts to bond, get to know, and be comfortable with each other. Hence, you have JDY and KSH especially telling each other that they are already pretty close. And this is how they are before TTON.

Second, this closeness bet JDY and KSH that was formed before TTON extends to KTO. I think this is expected because the three are in charge of TTON’s romance struggle so they have to meet and discuss and rehearse the script with the PD’s and writers. JDY, KSH, and KTO have also

opened up about them meeting together privately to talk and bond with each other. With this, I’ll take advantage of the trio’ supposed closeness because it provides a clear comparison between JDY and KTO’s actions when around KSH and vice versa.

Of course, my focus is to get to the bottom of JDY and KSH’s relationship. Please try to take note also of how I described JDY and KSH in my previous threads.

Now, I’ll be fleshing out how JDY and KSH’s relationship fare during TTON. But let me tell you beforehand (and I’ll be bold in my statement) that the true captain of this #macaroncouple #dongjeoncouple ship is Sso. Yep, it has always been Sso. And what I mean by this is it's Sso

who ultimately decides whether this ship sinks or sails. My assertions about this will be revealed later. Anyway (and again) JDY and KSH are already close before shooting TTON such that they boast of their sibling chemistry. This is actually important because we can then shift

our attention to how this close sibling relationship CHANGED as TTON progressed. If we’re to be nonchalant about it, the close sibling relationship might have actually pervaded until the end of TTON. . But a closer look at all the BTS and interview videos during TTON suggests

that their relationship had developed and, therefore, had changed. In the earlier parts of TTON, we can see the excellent sibling chemistry bet JDY and KSH on and off cam. We can see the energizer JDY, the upset Sso about JDY Noksun being prettier than her, the real bickering and

teasing bet them, the show-off JDY about him looking out for Sso, and the cool Sso in all of JDY’s antics. It’s important to notice how somewhat aggressive JDY is in his interactions with Sso. I’ve seen some BTS videos of JDY with his previous co-stars and he’s actually displayed

the same behavior. But what’s intriguing with his aggressiveness with Sso is that it’s often deliberate, as if done with the purpose of getting Sso excited or throwing off Sso’s composure. In other words, he enjoys making a mess and messing w/ Sso probably because he likes Sso’s

raw and pure reactions and expressions (the super obvious staring implies interest to someone's reactions or behavior). And what’s more intriguing is that Sso somehow allowed JDY to access this intense side of her of which her other co-stars did not get into. And I’m telling you

that JDY knows this and he’s confident. He knows that he had achieved such phenomenal feat in his relationship with Sso that is why he felt so secure w/ their relationship. The competitive JDY probably felt so proud and got ahead by himself by thinking he was a “different” and

a “special” co-star to Sso. Then bam! We have Sso who has not openly singled out JDY to shower him with words of affection, who does not bother to favor JDY’s character as Nokdu, who never openly admitted that Dongju likes/sees Nokdu as a special love interest.

We can now see JDY’s selfishness with Sso in full light: it has always been him and his obsession trying to gain Sso’s acknowledgement that he’s not just one of her other co-stars. JDY does NOT want to become just another co-star that Sso worked with; JDY seriously wants Sso

to treat him as someone “special” and “different”, separate from Sso’s previous co-stars BECAUSE he knows Sso is different when she's with him. In other words, JDY too want Sso to be fond of him as much as he was fond of her. In JDY's heart, he is already convinced that Sso
