With the approval of another 6.4 lakh houses in 50th CSMC meeting today, we have crossed the milestone of sanctioning over 1 crore houses under PMAY-U. We’re getting closer to achieving Hon’ble PM’s vision to provide pucca house to every Indian by 2022.

The scheme synergises Public, Private & People's Partnership; however, its prime movers are beneficiaries who have invested their lives’ savings & efforts to fulfil dreams of owning their house. This enthusiastic participation has resulted in delivery of 32 lakh houses already.
It gives me immense pride to share that we have grounded over 60 lakh houses for construction, with over 15 lakh being built using new technologies. Further, over 8 lakh beneficiaries have availed grants for interest subvention under CLSS with over ₹20,000 cr released so far.
Not only are we delivering dreams in the form of homes, but also giving a major boost to all the allied sectors. This commendable flagship Mission has generated employment for 1.2 cr people through various forward and backward linkages in 21 different sectors.

With the help of citizen-centric IT solutions like the PMAY-U App or the CLAP Portal, we have made the process not only simple but transparent as well. Technology is being used effectively to establish a direct connect with the beneficiaries.
