Right now, 12 states have an opportunity in front of them to reduce our largest source of global warming emissions (#transportation) & invest billions in clean mobility solutions over the next decade. Why is this important? #TransportationClimateInitiative

Our transportation system is outdated, unreliable and dirty. Transportation is also a major source of health damaging #AirPollution. Across the region, communities of color are exposed to about 66% more pollution from transportation. act.ucsusa.org/32YYcvK

Our infrastructure is becoming increasingly vulnerable to #ClimateImpacts; our public transportation systems are chronically underfunded & overcrowded. The #TransportationClimateInitiative represents a rare regional opportunity to address multiple challenges simultaneously.

The #TransportationClimateInitiative creates economic benefits (potential net savings of $4.85 billion/year); health benefits ($10 billion/year in saved health costs like hospital visits); and sets us up with an overall limit on transportation pollution.

We're running out of time to address pollution from #transportation. Governors across the region have a huge opportunity in front of them right now to go down in history as #ClimateFighters. act.ucsusa.org/2Q1hNHc

The #TransportationClimateInitiative will benefit rural communities. Rural drivers have the potential to save up to twice as much as urban drivers by making the switch from a conventional sedan to an EV. vtdigger.org/2020/01/16/dan…
