This is what patriotism looks like.
Last night, 13 March For Our Lives students travelled secretly to Richmond & slept overnight in the Capitol in order to avoid the white supremacists who threatened violence. We stand in solidarity with them today. #IStandwithVirginia
Thousands of students, clergy, and veterans were set to have a vigil and lobby day in Virginia as they have the past 27 years. Due to these threats, they were forced to cancel all gun violence prevention events.
March For Our Lives Virginia is primarily led by & comprised of high school-aged students. They weren’t able to come today out of concern for their safety, which is why college students from around the region are here to stand with them and share their stories.
