I know there are mixed feelings on #BellLetsTalk -
So, every year, I list the Atlantic organizations who are getting funding from the initiative.

Boys&Girls Club, Charlottetown
Funding will support design/development/promotion of the Club’s new after-school intervention program, Reach for the Stars. The project will target youth ages 12-15 who are at risk of developing mental health & addiction challenges. #BellLetsTalk

Chalmers Foundation, Fredericton
Funding to provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy training to 25 primary care providers, as well as Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies accreditation for 3 peer mentors. #BellLetsTalk

Eating Disorder Foundation, St. John's
Funding will support Provincial Emotion Focused Family Therapy workshops; for parents, carers and health professionals in the province, working w/individuals struggling with an eating disorder or other related mental illnesses. #BellLetsTalk

Healthy Start, Healthy Future, NB
Funding for 10 new "Life With A Baby" support groups in isolated communities in NB for 1 year. The groups provide in-person and online programs and resources to help parents of children navigate Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. #BellLetsTalk

Laing House, Halifax
Funding will support the development of community building programs at the Foundation’s new Sackville Youth Centre for youth, ages 13 to 24, who are living with mental health challenges. #BellLetsTalk

Northwood, Halifax
Funding for staffing Seeds of Success mental health and wellness support program for individuals living in their long term care facility. #BellLetsTalk

Self-Help Connection, NS
Funding for the WRAP (Wellness and Recovery Action Plan) program, enabling the training of 2 to 3 WRAP facilitators in 8 regions within Nova Scotia. #BellLetsTalk

SPLASH Centre, Harbour Grace Community Youth Network, NL
Fund 2 individuals from rural NL to complete the Mental Health First Aid for Adults Who Interact With Youth training, to become certified Mental Health First Aid instructors. #BellLetsTalk

The Gathering Place, St. John's
Funding to empower participants with lived experience to become peer supporters. 1 staff member will become a Mental Health First Aid trainer and will deliver subsequent training to Peer to Peer program leaders. #BellLetsTalk

The John Howard Society of Fredericton
Funding for the training and hiring of a Chronic and Episodic Homelessness Mental Health Peer Support Worker.

Funding will be used to run an Education Day open to 600 First Responders and their families, focused on improving the understanding of CIS and PTSD and dealing with diagnosis, treatment, resilience and next steps. #BellLetsTalk

Thrive, St. John’s
Funding for Thrive’s new THREADS project (Teaching Hope & Resiliency through Education, Arts, Drama, and Story), aimed at youth with mental health issues who are not being supported through the traditional school system. #BellLetsTalk

YMCA of Greater Moncton
Funding to operate the Plusone Mentoring program, engaging and equipping young people to overcome the challenges they face. The program will support over 120 youth ages 10 to 17 in developing healthy relationships and coping mechanisms. #BellLetsTalk
