Tonight ahead of President Trump's #StateOfTheUnion address, activists led by @RefuseFascism held a protest in front of the Capitol demanding "Trump/Pence out now!"
In particular, they condemned the impeachment trial as a "sham" for lacking witnesses or evidence.
"Mein Trumpf" was the label on a few posters combining Trump's face with Hitler's and putting it in a KKK robe.
At about 5:30pm, police declared the area they were protesting as "closed" ahead of the State of the Union and made them leave. They marched over the the Supreme Court to finish their event, which they called "People's State of the Union."
Paul 'Luke' Kuhn - an antifascist independent journalist - spoke out. He calls Trump's presidency "outright fascism" and says his father went to war to fight nazis.
He says "we intend to win this one" as well in the conflict against Trump.
