Media & social media have been a total love requiem for Liz Warren all day, and it’s such gross hypocrisy.
I never liked Warren.
She had many fine qualities as a candidate, but she lied constantly; often about trivial things. It made her liability in the general election.
But 1/

But watching the media canonize her tonight, as though it was some unexpected tragedy that she ended her campaign the day after everyone demanded she and her campaign, kind of reminds me of the way they wouldn’t mention Kamala Harris, and then as soon as she left the race 2/

Everyone was shocked! And there was so much looking askance and “her voice will be missed.”
Really?
I remember thinking “you guys are gonna miss her voice? Did you ever even hear it? Because you didn’t cover it.”
And I’m reminded people told me they might hold her nose & vote 3/

For HRC, but is soon as she lost those same people were shaking their fist & shaking their heads, and decrying misogyny.
I mean, no shit.
But I’m decrying hypocrisy this evening; because it seems like everybody who. says okay to woman president also says just not this one. 4/

And we all already know that.
that’s not the hypocrisy that’s bothered. It’s the part where as soon as they drop out of the race, or are forced out, or told they lost -well, suddenly they’re not so unlikable anymore, & everybody’s showing up for their wake like they were best 5/

friends the whole time.
So to everyone out there who that describes (I increasingly believe it’s all of us): HYPOCRITES.
And to the fellas out there: you fuckers love us... as long as we don’t compete with a man for anything.
And I don’t know one woman who doesn’t know it. 6/

Also, I never liked you. And I respect you enough to say so.
And to say; I’m sorry people are adding insult to injury - acting like the best friend of the deceased - I’m watching it & it is some intense bullshit.
