Here is a guide on how to petition ICPC & the types of petitions to send.
All petitions either hard copy or through the email/website, are addressed to the Hon. Chairman. (ICPC HQ, Plot 802 Constitution Avenue, Central Area, Abuja) to info@icpc.gov.ng for soft copies.
Before we proceed, it is important to know the types of petitions entertained by ICPC and those that are better handled by sister agencies or other regulatory agencies.
Attached herewith is a screenshot of the types of cases investigated by ICPC.
It is preferable that your petition falls within the attached ten categories. If it falls outside, we would rather you sent it to the agency with the statutory mandate of handling such types of issues. On the “Submit Petition” link on our website, you can submit to other agencies
In other words, all issues relating to errors in banking transactions should be sent to CBN, threat to life and assault should be sent to the Police. For internet scam (Yahoo Yahoo), it should be sent to EFCC.
ICPC does not handle disputes between two individuals or entities.
ICPC also does not handle cases related to criminal breach of trust between two individuals or entities.
There are addresses of dispute resolution and mediation centres in various states of the federation on our website, should in case you opt for amicable settlement of your complaint. Please see attached screenshots.
