Just to give an example of my #Dyslexia:
I'm NOT giong to edit it.
Here are tough words: rememnber, memeber, strenght, Natahan (the name) straighth, etc.
This is how I just typed them, my brain doesn't feel the reversal.
For everything I type, I often go back and correct it.
Here are other words I struggle with having #Dyslexia.
Again, I will not edit how I type them. Similar or repeated letter combos give me trouble.
absulotuely
firend
rememeberance
dissatsissfied
constittution
apppropriate
reperesentatitve
independente
signisificant
It is really weird when I type.
My brain literally stops as if there is a short circuit of sorts when I'm typing a difficult word.
I completely forget where I am in the word & I have to sound things out.
And yes, I went back and corrected a few words in this tweet. #Dyslexia
But #Dyslexia also has a few hidden gifts. I have shared this before.
I can read upside down and perfectly in the mirror.
I can write backwards effortlessly.
I used to do my Algebra problems backwards.
I notice anything off-kilter. Ask me to straighten shelves, wall photos etc.
In addition to myself
Here is a list of accomplished people with #Dyslexia
Many of the CEO Sharks on the #SharkTank
FUBU creator @TheSharkDaymond (talks about it in his books)
@WhoopiGoldberg
Henry Winkler
Author @OctaviaEButler
Pulitzer Prize winners, Dr's and more
So not realizing this would be a #thread on my #Dyslexia, I will say this.
Sure, I may have had more difficulty than others.
But I've never known anything different.
So though I may have struggled, I never knew it. Now my success feels like a fantastic life championing.
