Coconino, Graham, and Gila counties have taken measures to reduce their jail populations to prevent the spread of #COVID19 but the Maricopa County Attorney has ignored implementing reform and the families asking for relief.
Sentencing reform and retroactive sentencing reform are problems we need to immediately resolve in Arizona.
Our state is one of a few in the US that requires every person sentenced to serve 85% of their sentence regardless of circumstances.
60 State Representatives voted for HB 2808, supporting sentencing reform in Arizona but it was blocked in the Senate until the Arizona State Legislature adjourned due to the pandemic.

Our campaign's plan involves bringing together coalitions to release low-risk offenders during the pandemic for their safety and the health of our community.
Your county attorney should be focused on reforming and using their bully pulpit to enact real #CJreform.
With the legislature out of session, there is currently a 2020 ballot initiative to create real sentencing reform.
