During this #NationalVolunteerWeek, I'm proud of everyone who has stepped up to help out their communities in this time of need during #COVID19, including several members of my team. Here are some of the ways they've been giving back:

In Springfield, Cameron spends a few mornings a week delivering breakfasts and lunches to kids from her local school district whose caregivers don’t have access to transportation to pick up their meals.

Kirsten donated blood, which is desperately needed right now to make sure we have an ample supply for health providers to treat people during #COVID19, with @RedCross

Jessica volunteered at her local food pantry to help those in need. Communities are struggling to keep up with increased demand for essential goods and our food pantries are strained.

If you’re healthy and able, now is a great time to give back to those in need amid this public health crisis. If you’re looking for ways to get involved throughout Illinois, visit: serve.illinois.gov @ServeIllinois
